Suffolk Artlink is working in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society, Suffolk Family Carers and Time for You to run creative workshops for carers and the family member they care for.

Suffolk Artlink have been running creative workshops across Suffolk for carers and cared for to take part in together.

The artist let sessions give the groups the opportunity to try a variety of activities such as dance, painting, clay work, singing, movement and reminiscence.

The workshops aim to take away the roles of carer and cared-for allowing the participants to enjoy a shared creative experience. The project also aims to encourage and assist them to try similar activities at home together.

As well as providing an environment in which carers can meet other carers, the project aims to assist the participants to continue in their creativity and get to know arts facilities in their local area which they can access and enjoy.
