b) to provide or assist in the provision of, in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation or other- time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the public at large and persons who have a particular need of such facilities by reason of youth, age, physical or mental disability, health or their social and economic circumstances.

Artlink will deliver six main programmes in 2008/9 – Creative Care and Culture Club for older people, Youth Activities for young people who are excluded or at risk, Open Doors for adults with learning disabilities, a Training strand and Artlink Advice, which were delivered mainly through the Arts in Health Forum and the Newsletter.

Additional projects include Clown Round, Lap of Honour, blueprint, Skills4Jobs and the Alzheimer’s Society Partnership Project.

Artlink is committed to delivering high quality creative activities to some of Suffolk’s most vulnerable people and uses professional artists for all its programmes.

Eight part time staff, most of whom are based at Miles Ward Court in Halesworth, manage the projects.
