Suffolk Artlink is a charitable company , limited by guarantee
incorporated on 7 February 2005 and registered as a charity
on 16 August 2005. The company was established under a Memorandum
of Association which established the objects and powers of
the charitable company and is governed under its Articles of
Association.

The charity’s objects are:

a) to promote, maintain
and advance the education of the public in the arts
generally and the encouragement of the arts, by utilising
all art forms, including painting sculpture, printmaking,
crafts, drama, music, literature, photography landscape
art, public art and new media;
b) to provide or assist in the provision
of, in the interests of social welfare, facilities
for recreation or other- time occupation with the object
of improving the conditions of life for the public
at large and persons who have a particular need of
such facilities by reason of youth, age, physical or
mental disability, health or their social and economic
circumstances. |
Artlink will deliver six main programmes in 2008/9 – Creative
Care and Culture Club for older people, Youth Activities for
young people who are excluded or at risk, Open Doors for adults
with learning disabilities, a Training strand and Artlink Advice,
which were delivered mainly through the Arts in Health Forum
and the Newsletter.
Additional projects include Clown Round, Lap of Honour, blueprint,
Skills4Jobs and the Alzheimer’s Society Partnership Project.
Artlink is committed to delivering high quality creative activities
to some of Suffolk’s most vulnerable people and uses
professional artists for all its programmes.
Eight part time staff, most of whom are based at Miles Ward
Court in Halesworth, manage the projects.
