Arts and Health forum

Over the course of the last two years Suffolk Artlink and Soundsense have held two very successful ‘Activate’ events, exploring the role of community arts in healthcare settings.

Delegates at the events identified the need for an ongoing arts and health forum based in the area. With this is mind the Suffolk Arts and Health forum has been created and held its first formal event on the 12th October, 2006.

'Get the message? - The role of the arts in preventative healthcare'

This exciting day, suitable for health care professionals and community artists working in, or interested in working in, health care settings included a presentation by Red Rose Chain of their recent project 'Strictly Body and Soul' as well as interactive discussion session, information about local activities and groups and networking opportunities.

The second event wil be held on 13th February, 2007

 ' Arts and Wellbeing for the third age'
