From tea towels to tea pots, kitchen sinks to feather dusters, ‘The Right Moves’ is a poster to inspire people to keep active. It contains a step-by-step guide with full written instructions accompanied by photographs.
Suffolk Artlink worked with DanceEast and physiotherapist Sarah Bruin towards a dance exercise poster that will keep you active in your own home. An exercise group of sheltered housing scheme residents from Babergh helped shape the exercise programme for the poster by sharing their opinions and expertise. They also feature on it demonstrating the exercises using household items.

Intergenerational Projects |
Map of The People’s Community Garden, Ipswich incorporating visual art work by local school children following artist-led sessions with James Fletcher.
We have developed a number of intergenerational projects as part of the current Culture Club programme. The projects have linked young people with older people in communities around Suffolk, working with primary and secondary schools and Suffolk Library Top Time groups and At Home Library Service users, sheltered housing scheme residents and local older people.
The projects have forged new relationships, giving people the opportunity to share experiences and learn new skills. Ranging from photography to writing, performance to reminiscing, artists have worked with groups to encourage them to develop new work and interact with each other.
