The Open Doors programme ran from summer 2007 - July 2010 and offered people with learning disabilities a chance to take part in taster sessions and short courses in the creative sector.

In addition to the tasters and short courses, the more formal 30 day course based in Ipswich offered training and work experience with a range of creative sector organisations. The aims of the course which started in September each year were either to facilitate freelance or part time job opportunities for people with learning disabilities within the sector or to inspire and sign post further study. 

The 30 day course ran in Ipswich for 3 years, after which Open Doors came to an end. We hope to launch an Open Doors Job Club in Ipswich to keep ex-students and other people with learning disabilities interested in working in the arts in touch with the latest information and opportunities.

JumpstART! is our new creative arts training course for people with learning disabilities in Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft.
