This month we’ve been lucky enough to benefit from the mighty efforts of two wonderful fundraisers. Our very own Miles Row walked an entire marathon in a day during this year’s Orwell Walk on 17 June, and some of the lovely staff at Allied Health Professionals Suffolk took on the Great East Swim last Saturday.
Miles took 6.5 hours to complete the walk, which I’m pretty sure puts them up there with some of the world’s best long distance runners! Mile’s exertions have raised £570 so far which, thanks to Arts Council England funding, will be doubled to well over £1,000 towards our work – just incredible!
Allied Health Professionals not only entered staff into the Great East Swim, they also put on free massages after the event for tired swimmers, with all donations going towards our work.
A huge well done and even bigger thank you to them all!
If this has inspired you to take on a challenge to raise money for Suffolk Artlink, why not get in touch?
If you’re a keen runner, you might like to know that we have ten free places at this year’s sold out Great East Run on 16 September. Find out more or apply for a place here.
