After a fabulous first term of Brave Art, we are looking forward to welcoming new students for the next term of our art course for adults with learning disabilities. Starting in January, students can sign up for one of three locations – Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.
Since September this year, our students have been exploring their identities, dreams and memories using art forms including digital art, creative writing, illustration, storytelling, paint, pastels, stencils, pen and ink. As well as creating personal learning journals, students also gain experience of planning and exhibiting their artwork, meet with different arts organisations and set their future goal plans.
Student, Sophie Johnson, says: “I really enjoy the drawing at Brave Art. There is excellent and total engagement with the whole group. Everyone is positive and friendly’
The courses run one day a week from 10am-3.30pm in each location. For full details and up-to-date course dates please visit our Brave Art page.
The cost of the course is £20 per day or £180 per term when paid in advance. All new students applying for the course will have the opportunity to discuss their individual support needs, interests and ambitions.
