Behind the Scenes of Lowestoft Folk

As our intergenerational project, Lowestoft Folk, comes to an end, we thought you’d enjoy a film sharing a little bit of what went on as we brought young and old together to creatively explore their shared heritage.

In the words of resident, Les: “It’s all part of life and the richness of it and that’s been one of the best times of my life.”

Our school pupils had a great time too, as Justin explained: “It’s great fun here, I think it’s just magical.”

After a wonderful two years watching our pairs of schools and residential homes enjoying time being creative together, we are now well on our way to developing a new intergenerational project for 2020. We’ll bring more news on this as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we’re busy making plans to tour two beautiful exhibits created with the help of our participants during Lowestoft Folk – our Cabinet of Curiosity and Treasure Chest. Both bring the stories and museum artefacts that our participants enjoyed over the past two years to life in a unique way – and they could be yours, for a time!
