VR Adventures is an arts programme that will bring immersive virtual reality experiences to benefit people in health and care settings in Suffolk and Norfolk.
This pilot project, in association with Google Arts & Culture, will focus on using VR technology to deliver participatory creative experiences to improve wellbeing in young people being cared for in hospitals and older people in residential homes.
Our multi-disciplinary team of artists will develop person-centred experiences, using creative digital content and sensory materials.
Who is VR Adventures for:
The project is aimed at young patients (aged 12+) in hospitals, and older people in care homes.
When & Where is VR Adventures happening:
VR Adventures began in February 2020. It will be delivered in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Ipswich Hospital, Beech House Care Home in Halesworth and Broadlands Care Home in Lowestoft.
Following UK Government advice, we are suspending all face-to-face delivery of VR Adventures at the current time, however, preparations for delivering the project continue behind the scenes!
