Pitches, Spectators and Postcards

30th January 2025

The children played pen football to some well-known football theme tunes, after which they selected their favourite piece of the ‘game’, cut it out and stuck it onto a postcard.

Two children applying glue to green card. On the blue table in front of them is a large sheet of green card covered in white swirls, a pair of green handled scissors and some pencils

They folded their boxes into pitches, turned the remaining paper upside down and used it as the turf, carefully applying white lines.

The rows of spectators they created were magnificent—albeit a little alien at times.

Then it was back to the postcards.

They stuck on their reasons for wanting to take part, decorated it and addressed each card to a resident at Manor Farm.

A variety of decorated postcards with printed text giving reasons for want to take part in the Extra Time project. These include loving art and football and meeting new people and making friends
Reasons to be cheerful – and for wanting to take part in Extra Time

We’ll deliver them next week.
