Come and find out what is happening musically for young children and families in Lowestoft.
Our quarterly Network Meeting will be a chance to reconnect, reflect, get support, ask questions and share information with our Early Years Music cohort whilst taking part in stimulating practical activities led by our special guests.
Our guests will be Xenia Horne – Musician and Research Practitioner (freelance) and Nicky Wallis – Research Practitioner Fitzwilliam Museum.
In 2022 Xenia Horne and Nicky Wallis co-created a project for new parents and their babies called Musical Bumps. Over ten weeks the group explored different collections at the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge through music and sound, creating mini songs and soundscapes.
On Feb 21 we will have a chance to experience some of these playful, musical experiences in a practical workshop with Xenia and Nicky. After a short introduction we will spend some time relaxing and tuning into the space before looking at objects and playing together ! We will have a chat about how you can use these activities in your setting, and different environments, indoors and out. There will be an opportunity to learn about how the babies and parents responded too. We are looking forward to spending some time together having fun and being playfully curious!
