Online Carers Session with Caitlin Howells

Artist Caitlin Howells will lead a creative and relaxing session focusing on mark making techniques using everyday objects such as pens, pencils, wool and mirrors!

This session is designed for all, no creative experience necessary just a curiosity to explore the benefits and fun to be had in creative activity.

Suffolk Artlink will be hosting a series of online creative sessions for Family Carers this Autumn.

These sessions have been programmed to allow family carers time to be creative in their own home and take away ideas for creative exercises to use beyond the session. These sessions will take place on Zoom and are free to attend.

Our sessions are designed for adult family carers or those who have recently been a carer. Cared for are also welcome to our online sessions and we hope this may enable more carers to participate.

As part of the session we will use household items to experiment and draw with.  Here are some suggestions of items we may use and it would be handy if they are close by but no problem if you can’t find them all!
Here are some suggestions:
Paper (can be coloured, white, or even newspaper, large or small)
Pencils
Pens and or whatever else you can find: crayons/coloured pencils/oil pastels
A mirror,( small or vanity/tabletop is ideal but not essential)
A table or reading lamp or torch
Tinfoil
Newspaper or rough Paper
Some random items, eg fruit, veg, kitchen items or ornaments/toys
Headphones and music you like on your phone if you can but not essential
Please don’t worry if you can’t find all the items – the most important thing is you come along and enjoy!
