“The hand is letting go of the past, letting go of the dead things. It’s saying that now it’s time for these hands to hold new things.”
That is how Esme explained the monoprint she produced this morning in a Creative Process session run by artist Kasia Posen.
Creative Process is a group for adult family carers and the adults they care for. It is based in Stowmarket and grew out of the regular Creative Company sessions run there by Suffolk Artlink in 2017.
We are delighted to report that Creative Process is flourishing, and has already been busy creating some really interesting work. And we are equally delighted to report that Esme has been offered not one but two places at university, one to study art and craft, and the other to do art with art therapy: her only problem now is to decide which one to choose. We wish her every success in the future and look forward to seeing many more examples of her beautiful art work.
