Wild About Kirkley

A creative journey, to learn about Kirkley’s unique natural environment.

Introduction

Having spent the past two years exploring this special space with local residents we are connecting with Kirkley Pantry to sustain this work with support from their wonderful volunteers.

Kirkley Community Garden continues to offer monthly sessions, a chance to grow, eat and share together through social and creative community get-togethers.

Everyone welcome!

‘Really informative and inspiring activity. I learnt so much and had a great time. Thank you for including more accessible options too so that everyone could take part! I can't wait for the next session!’

What inspired this project?

Wild About Kirkley grew out of our previous work in the community partnering with First Light Festival and Community Action Suffolk. Based in the community garden of The Pantry Project in Kirkley, a growing group of residents have prepared soil, planted seeds and made willow structures to create a peaceful haven for the community to share.
