Curious Minds unpick Extra Time stories – and share some of their own

Jo and I spent a lovely afternoon with members of the Curious Minds Legacy group at Saxmundham Library, listening to stories in the Extra Time Football Story Box and sharing some of our own.

The football stories are so varied that everyone found something relatable – from parents doing Littlewood Pools on a Saturday afternoon to considering special football memorabilia and then illustrating their own precious possessions.

Thanks to Jo for leading the activities, Chrissie for hosting the session, and to all the participants for being so enthusiastic about the stories – even though football might not be their sport of choice.

‘Sometimes you can become a prisoner in your own head. Doing things like this [creative session] really helps take me out of it.’
‘Life is so busy nowadays, we just get lost. This gives me something to look forward to, it helps.’
‘The stories in the box were fascinating and really inspired lots of conversation – sometimes we just need a spark.’
