“I’m influenced by colour, shapes, textures, talking to people and books. My art is often about animals, feelings and landscapes. I use fabric, tissue paper, objects like shells and leaves, clay and paint. I love to use layers in my work. I use a lot of different materials to build a picture. I don’t always know what it will look like until I finish it! I love bright colours, especially pinks, purples and blues. I often choose to work on big canvases. My art always makes me happy.”

Amber is an expressive and playful artist. She has discovered a love of collage and is never afraid of experimenting and trying new things. With each new piece she adds new ways of working, building up layers of different materials. There is always so much to discover in Amber’s work. (Charlie Meyer)
