Laura Stoddard

“I like coming to Brave Art… meeting new people and having fun”

Laura loves to use watercolour paint and make abstract pieces of work. Colour forms an important aspect to her work. She has a distinct colour palette of purple, pink and turquoise blue. When working with watercolours, she develops details using pen to highlight areas. She likes to experiment with different techniques and has really enjoyed working with her eyes closed, finding it calming and freeing. Laura is a big fan of Disney and dolphins which often feature in her work.

Recently she has been making 3D work and has been working collaboratively with another artist to explore different techniques including printmaking and collage. Laura really enjoys exhibiting her work and meeting members of the public to talk about it.
