“I just go for it! Art explodes out of my brain, flowing onto the page. I start with an idea, and suddenly, my hand is chasing the colours, shapes, and energy that spills out.”

“I just go for it! Art explodes out of my brain, flowing onto the page. I start with an idea, and suddenly, my hand is chasing the colours, shapes, and energy that spills out. I love to look at something and then make it my own—turning it into something entirely different. Nature, animals, and the changing seasons inspire me, and every drawing I create I make up a story to go with it. Art doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be you. It’s your thoughts, your feelings, your world.

I’m always sketching animals. I love experimenting with different materials—oil pastels, charcoal, pencils, painting, and watercolours. If my mind feels wild, I paint. If I need to relax, I draw. My work was published in a book. People call me the Beatrix Potter of Bury St Edmunds. Now, I have the confidence to say it: I am an artist.”
