Beautiful boxes for treats and memories

Another wonderful afternoon of cutting and sticking – and lots of chat about all the things we’ve done over the past few weeks.

The children chose excerpts from the Lincolne letters, photos of the residents, images of paper flowers and polaroid pictures to add detail to the outside of their Valentia boxes; there was so much to choose from, they even glued poems and images from the Museum inside the boxes.

Many thanks to Shelly, who steered us through the process of creating beautiful decoupage – the children really enjoyed working with her and picking up tips on how to make their box extra special.

Next week, we’ll be taking the boxes to Beech House, to share with the residents and celebrate all the lovely work we’ve produced together over the last ten weeks.

In the meantime, here are just a very few examples of the boxes – more photos to follow later.
