Clown Round is back at the James Paget!

After a prolonged absence, we are delighted that our much-loved Clown Doctors are returning to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, resuming our usual ward visits with children and young people.

During the past few years, our brilliant Clown Doctors have had to change and adapt the way they work – working outside, doing window visits, creating short films and providing virtual sessions. The Clown Doctors haven’t let these obstacles stop them from bringing joy and fun to young people across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex, but there’s nothing better than face-to-face interactions on the wards.

Our team of Clown Doctors visit young people in hospitals and hospices and engage them in clowning, storytelling, music, magic, circus skills and improvisation. They focus on supporting and empowering young patients during what can be a challenging time, tailoring activities thoughtfully and sensitively with individuals at the heart of each interaction.

For an introduction to the many goings-on that take place with Clown Round, watch this short video and meet Dr. Cristobell Misschief!
