Around The Table

“Great visuals, interesting tastes and good conversation” Claire, Carer

“A lovely enjoyable session, very informative, loved it!” Susan, Carer

“A really good session, really enjoyed learning more about spices, looking forward to the next one.” David, Carer

What is Around the Table:

The Around the Table project aims to explore food, creativity and culture in regular workshops, to offer adult carers a moment of respite from their caring role. The workshops will enable carers to develop new support systems, build their confidence and enjoy a new sense of passion and achievement in their daily lives.

All workshops are free of charge, no experience is necessary and reasonable travel costs can also be provided.

Participants are welcome to attend as many or as few of the two and a half hour workshops as they are able. These workshops will run approximately monthly.

When & Where is Around the Table happening:

Following UK Government advice, we are limiting face-to-face delivery of Around the Table until further notice.

During this time, our wonderful project officer, Kasia, has been working alongside a group of professional artists to create novel initiatives for our family carers to take part in from home.

You can find a timetable of future activities here.

To find out more about what our carers have been up to so far in the project, or to review recipes, fact files, videos and pictures from previous sessions you have attended, visit the Around the Table blog.

If you would like to join the sessions please contact Kasia on the details below, we’d love to hear from you. Sessions will take place online via GoogleMeets, technical assistance is available.
