What is Little Beats:
Little Beats is a project partnership between Suffolk Artlink and Suffolk Libraries.
Little Beats aims to improve wellbeing, child development and musical engagement amongst pre-school children by developing the skills of selected Suffolk Libraries staff.
Running until September 2022, ‘Little Beats’ brings musicians and early years music educators together with librarians from from Suffolk Libraries.
By sharing skills and experience, our artists and librarians develop their personal practice and creativity to deliver musical activities within regular music groups for pre-school children and their parents.
Over the next year we will be working with librarians from Suffolk Libraries through regular sessions so they can further develop their ability to deliver early years music sessions.
At the end of the previous iteration of Little Beats, resources were created that share ideas and inspiration from the project with library staff right across the county.
