Little Beats

Improving wellbeing, child development and musical engagement amongst pre-school children in partnership with Suffolk Libraries.

Introduction

Little Beats aims to improve wellbeing, child development and musical engagement amongst pre-school children by developing the skills of selected Suffolk Libraries staff.

The initial project began in 2021, and following new funding, it will now be running until September 2022.

Throughout the project, artists and librarians are sharing skills and experience, in order to develop their personal practice and creativity to deliver musical activities within regular music groups for pre-school children and their parents.

‘Little Beats has refreshed and enthused us all. It’s given us space for reflection, rejuvenation, and has refuelled us during lockdown.’
