Wild About Kirkley
A creative journey, to learn about Kirkley’s unique natural environment.
Introduction
Wild About Kirkley provides opportunities for you to learn, grow, eat and share through a series of inspiring, social and creative community get-togethers centred around Kirkley.
From foraging and tasting to learning about local marine life and growing organic vegetables, you will creatively explore this place you call home alongside your friends and neighbours.
Everyone welcome!
‘Really informative and inspiring activity. I learnt so much and had a great time. Thank you for including more accessible options too so that everyone could take part! I can't wait for the next session!’
What inspired this project?
Wild About Kirkley grew out of our previous work in the community partnering with First Light Festival and Community Action Suffolk. Based in the community garden of The Pantry Project in Kirkley, a growing group of residents have prepared soil, planted seeds and made willow structures to create a peaceful haven for the community to share.
