Brave Art Summer Programme Lowestoft

Brave Art is an arts training course for adults with learning disabilities. Brave Art offers students the chance to enjoy exploring a variety of art forms whilst developing creative and life skills.

During the course students work alongside professional artists. Through professional artist-led sessions students learn new skills and gain confidence, friendships and wellbeing.

The summer programmes take place weekly in Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft and Ipswich and include advice and guidance on how to progress on to volunteering, work experience and further training.

Our experienced Project Officer Fran Speight will, as usual, create a safe and welcoming space where everyone can be creative and make new friends.

Our 5 creative sessions are led by talented artist Johann Don-Daniel: “Hello Brave Artists, As a former assistant head teacher, I have seen the transformative power of the creative arts. My teaching roles have included Art, Design and Technology, and Computing. I am excited to bring my experience and creativity to explore the ideas of others in order to build confidence and self-expression in myself and others. Following an MA in Fine Art, my work has evolved into sculpture, new technologies, drumming, and sound. I am passionate about exploring new mediums and techniques.”
