Curious Minds in Leiston

An arts and heritage programme designed to support wellbeing through creative and mindful activities. Curious Minds offers participants the chance to enjoy exploring a variety of art forms whilst developing creative skills and tools to support mental wellbeing.

Following our highly successful programmes in Felixstowe and Woodbridge we are running our next programme at The Long Shop Museum in Leiston.

The theme for these sessions will be ‘Concious Energy’.

Working with professional artists Alice-Andrea Ewing and Sarah Lewis, participants will explore aspects of the collections from the Food Museum in Stowmarket to inspire their creativity. They will also explore the creative resources available at Leiston library which is just opposite the Museum. Museum and library resources will be explored to stimulate stories and conversations and creative skills will be developed in a variety of mixed media including movement. No creative experience is necessary as these workshops are an opportunity to connect, learn, move and develop new skills and promote overall well being through movement and creativity.

The programme starts on Thursday May 9th 10-12.30pm and runs for 12 weeks ending on Thursday July 25th. Refreshments provided!

The Leiston Long Shop Museum is currently undergoing renovations and parking onsite may be difficult for the first few weeks. Free parking is available at The Waterloo Centre, Leiston. Any questions please contact Jen@suffolkartlink.org.uk
