Twilight Session with Sophie Fox (Magic Acorns)
Creating Conditions for Connection: Play, Presence & Possibility
How do we create spaces where babies and very young children feel seen, heard and ready to connect?
This interactive online session invites artists, musicians and early years educators to explore how we can create the conditions for connection, through presence, play, attunement and creativity. Together, we will reflect using video examples, sharing practice-based experiences, and experiment with mirroring and responsive interaction.
Through discussion, observation and experiential exercises, we’ll consider how relational approaches can nurture expression and deepen engagement for all children but especially those that might be labelled with SEND. Whether you work through music, visual art, movement or early childhood education practice, this session will offer perspectives on creating connection with the people you work with through presence.
