Mystery Objects and Clay Work
The design team passes to the drawing office, (image below) who do some fancy footwork and flick it on to fabrication.
Ellie made a clay slab shaped like a trophy, into which the children pressed the clay discs, now fully dried, of Leiston footballers that they made last week.
A clay rim was fixed around the shield and the initials GFC—Garretts Football Club—inscribed on the surface. Ellie and Sam mixed up some plaster, adding iron powder to turn it a rusty brown, after which they poured it into the mould. We’ll have to wait until next week to see how it turns out.
