Suffolk Artlink on Tour

Suffolk Artlink’s Friends Around the Table programme is providing opportunities for community groups in Babergh and Mid Suffolk to try creative activities.

This October, the Friends Around the Table Craft Group in Stowmarket created their own flock of paper birds with artist Jac Campbell, using recycled or natural materials.  Each bird was completely unique with their own personality, and we even spotted a flamingo in Suffolk! Jac will be returning to the craft group next month when the group will be trying out printing techniques.

Felixstowe Family Carers worked with Dean Parkin to create their own Autumn Walk inspired writing. From Apple Harvests and Chestnuts to woolly socks and chilly winds, everyone created and shared their own wonderful story of the changing season.  One participant told us they were ‘more creative than they realised’ and another will be taking a ‘new look at Autumn’ after the session.  We also left the group with one of our activity boxes and we’re looking forward to seeing more of their creations.

If you would like to find out more about either group or about Friends Around the Table please contact Siobhan on siobhan@suffolkartlink.org.uk for details.
