The children from Kessingland Primary school (aka the Wild Kessingland All-Stars) visit residents at Manor Farm Care Home (aka Manor Farm Corncrakes) for the first match of the season and the result was unanimous – they want a replay.

Football pitches and roaring crowds

It was all hands on deck this week, as Manor Farm residents constructed a series of Extra Time football pitches and rows of spectators to line the sides. The afternoon was spent at Kessingland Primary where the children engaged in some energetic pen football, before creating their own football grounds in readiness for the forthcoming match.

Goalie-poet Dean Parkin visits Manor Farm Care Home, where the team engages in some poetic table football, after which he moves on to Kessingland Primary School, in search of a team name worthy of such a talented group of children.

Players and key positions

Residents at Manor Farm Care Home discover the Archive All-Stars and create their own versions of the football characters, whilst pupils at Kessingland Primary school consider their own characters and identify key skills, greatest achievements and goals.

We spend some Extra Time at Britten Court, to listen to some of their football stories, and Northfield St Nicholas Primary Academy, where Year 5 learn some stories about football in Lowestoft and celebrate the characters on the pitch.
