Early Years Network Summer 26 Meeting
We hope that you can join us! The Little Beats Summer Network meeting will offer time to connect with other Early Years practitioners, local musicians and organisations whilst finding out what else is on offer. Our network provides the opportunity to share practice in a supportive environment.
We are excited to announce our Guest Speaker for Little Beats Summer Network meeting 2026!
Join author-illustrator Kate Rolfe for a playful, interactive session exploring how music, movement and sensory storytelling can open up new ways into books for young children and enhance the storytelling experience.
Using her picture books Wolf and Bear, Wiggling Words and Owl and Moon, Kate will share a range of practical, hands-on activities inspired by her work in schools, libraries and SEND settings. Together, participants will experience storytelling through rhythm, movement, song, dance, sensory exploration and creative play, before considering how these ideas might be adapted for the children and families we work with.
Expect an energetic, participatory session full of ideas to take away and try in your own practice!
We facilitate 4 Network meetings per project year and run a program of FREE early years music CPD training for EY settings and staff in Lowestoft. We provide Early Years Music training and peer support whilst identifying gaps in EY music provision in Suffolk.
The meeting is in the Britten Room at Lowestoft Library.
Please feel free to share these opportunities with relevant Early Years staff, early years settings, organisations, contacts and musicians. Lowestoft is our early years music hub, where we continue to hold all our in person network meetings.
Any further questions please do get in touch!
