Shape, line, colour and a whole lot of fun
What a joyful, colourful day, full of vivid artwork, extraordinary imagination, skilful application and intense focus and concentration.
Add to that lots of really good chat about art, life and the meaning of everything (having a plan is always important, and never more so than when it doesn’t work) and you’ve got a fairly perfect day.
We were even treated to a post-lunch meditation by Josh, who got us all relaxing in a warm swimming pool and imagining the warmth of the big yellow sun on our bodies as we gently floated along.
The day was full of random acts of kindness and consideration, not least from the staff at Bury St Edmunds library, who provided personal reassurances to participants – and space to store Patrick’s huge 3D model of Hockney’s Splash.
I look forward to seeing all the pieces exhibited in the Brave Artists’ Gallery – and to meeting up with the group again before too long.
