Early Years CDP with Sonrisa Arts Workshop + Winter Network Meeting

Join professional musician/composer, Anthony Kimber-McTiffen and dancer/musician/director, Kath Kimber-McTiffen from Sonrisa Arts for a practical CPD workshop which will share and explore Sonrisa Arts’ co-creation process with Early Years children and families.

The workshop will centre around the creation of immersive dance and music performance, Dance in the Dark, for ages 3+ and families and their co-creation process in the community and schools, using dance, movement and music to explore the concept of ‘the dark’.

We will explore facilitating a child-led approach, co-creating performances, using props and thematic ideas as creative stimulus and using live and recorded music.

Suitable for anyone who is currently working in Early Years/KS1 settings or who is interested in working in these settings and wants to develop practical child-led creative approaches using movement/dance and music.

The workshop will be largely practical, with time included for discussion and reflection. Please dress comfortably for movement. The workshop is suitable for Early Years artists, practitioners and teachers.
