Early Years CDP Finding Space with Takeshi Matsumoto

Finding Space: MA in Practice for Dance, Early Years and Beyond

Online
Thursday 3rd December
Time 6.30pm-8.30pm

This online workshop explores Ma — the Japanese concept of space, pause, and the meaningful gaps between things — as a lens for dance, choreography, and facilitation with children and young audiences. Drawing on Takeshi’s practice across choreography, teaching, and facilitation, participants are invited to slow down, listen to their own bodies, and rediscover playfulness and creativity. No prior dance experience needed — just curiosity about space, stillness, and presence, and how these might shape your own practice with/for children.
