Early Years CDP with Abby Page

Our online workshop led by Abby Page focuses on accessibility and inclusion within an early years session. Abby will invite you to consider how music and movement can be powerful tools for communicating , learning and connecting in a non-verbal way with early years groups, and particularly children with additional needs and English as a second Language. We will also reflect on how we adapt and look after ourselves as practitioners who may have our own mobility needs and the challenge of doing this within an early years group. There will be opportunities to share our own experiences and gather tools and ideas for adaptation and inclusion.

Abby is a dance and music practitioner working with a range of ages, including disability groups, early years and school groups. Abby delivers weekly Sensory Play sessions for Magic Acorns, Sing Dance Play sessions for Norwich Theatre and is an associate artist with Sainsburys Centre of Visual Arts delivering Mini Studio and Schools workshops. Abby is the artistic director of In Cahoots Dance Company for adults with and without disabilities and trains teachers and EY settings in developmental movement play for Jabadao with a particular focus on SEND.
